We got excellent value for our money with a self-contained studio apartment that allowed us to cook our own meals. The location was great, with a big supermarket behind the building and a short walk to the train station and upper town. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing a warm welcome at reception.
The breakfast menu could have been more varied.

Close proximity to town centre and public transport.
In the 30 days that I stayed there, my room was cleaned only once instead of every week. Like-wise with my bathroom towels. The reception staff appear indifferent to customer satisfaction. I have subsequently moved to Park & Suite Gaillard and the staff are helpful and friendly.

The hotel is a 5 min walk from the town center and only a few mins from the main roads to other locations.Hotel staff were very friendly. The room we had was quite big for the price.
The railway line was to close

The location was perfect for our adventure-packed vacation. We had a blast kayaking and water skiing on the surrounding water. The hotel's proximity to all the attractions in Thonon-les-Bains made it super convenient for us to explore. And the cherry on top, the flat-screen televisions with digital programming kept us entertained when we needed some downtime.
The only thing we wished for was a better nightlife scene near the hotel. As young party-goers, we would have loved to have some more options for late-night fun.

Rooms were spacious to french standards and clean at our arrival. Small kitchen is useful for self-catering. Location was good close to city center, shops, restaurants. Garage is available if you wish. Free internet availability. Friendly, English speaking lady at the reception desk.
During the 8 days we stayed at the hotel, nobody came to clean the room, change towels and empty the bin. At the end of the week the room was covered with rubbish-bags.

garage facility
proximity of the railway line - it was very noisy. I would have liked the towels to be changed and bins emptied at some time in 4 days. I was not told it was a double bed- I needed 2 singles

This no-frills aparthotel is adequate for a budget stay, as long as that is the expectation, it's fine. Location (other than train x-ing) is easy walking distance to shops & restaurants.
This no-frills aparthotel is adequate for a budget stay, as long as that is the expectation, it's fine. Linoleum floors and stiff twin beds, very basic. The one big surprise however was that the hotel is right on a train track crossing, with a bell that sounds approx every 30-40 mins to signal the train coming, well into the night. Bring your ear plugs. One internet access point is included but pack your own ethernet cable, luckily we had one. You might be able to borrow one from Reception but Reception hours are very limited in the evening and weekends so we didn't cross paths much during our weekend stay. Shower quickly, the water doesn't drain very fast so threatens to overflow.

Chose this hotel for a conference and it was the perfect solution for business travelers. The apartment provided a comfortable pied-à-terre with hotel services. The facilities were well-maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was also convenient, with supermarkets and amenities nearby.
One service that I missed for work was a dedicated business center. It would have been helpful to have access to printing and scanning facilities on-site.

Not much to like - see below..
Property was all but impossible to find as it is not really a hotel but rooms in an apartment block. No signage outside at all. Staff were polite but offered no real essential info such as the need to input a code to get in after office hours or how to access the garage (not supplied at check-in). Location is by a busy rail crossing on a main road and very noisy 24/7. Rooms were a decent size but minimally kitted out for self-catering. Cleanliness was dubious. Would not advise anyone to book.

Lack of air condition in a high humidty area. Shower holder situated in a residential block with screeming children.and dogs left to howl all night. tHE LACK OF PRE INFORMATION THAT THE FREIGHT TRAIN SERVICE WOULD RUN EVERY 40 MINUTES 24 HOURS A DAY THAT FROM THE WARNING BELLS TO THE BULIDING SHAKING MEANT LITTLE OR NO SLEEP. PARKING WAS LIMITED TO FOUR CARS FOR ALL GUESTS RECEPION STAFF HAD AN ATTITUDEC OF NOT GIVING A DAMM. IE THE SUPERMARKET HAS PARKING SPACES TRY THERE. OR ITS ALWAYS THIS HUMID TAKE MORE COLD SHOWERS

Explored Thonon's historical and cultural heritage, experienced "some noise" and "light disturbances" due to the conveniently located rail line, enjoyed a diverse breakfast.
Sleeping with the soothing sound of passing trains and dealing with "light disturbances" near the rail line all night.

1. They had a room available when the Ibis Hotel in Thonon was full. Also, the "hotel" was very close to the train station.
This is not really a hotel, but rather a short term furnished apartment rental. The basics were there: clean bedding and towels, and adequate furnishings. It took 3 days for the people in the registration office to figure out and tell me how to access the internet.
